Keekorok Lodge constructed in 1962 on a choice eighty acre site in an area of permanent springs and lush grassland. Keekorok, deriving its name from the local Masai language meaning motley abundance in is located in the very heart of Kenya’s fabled Masai Mara National Reserve.

The Hippo Pool Bar is connected to the lodge by a 1km long wooden walkway which meanders through the Keekorok forest. The bar over looks a permanent watering hole that is home to over 20 hippos and is visited regularly by elephants and lions.

In keeping with Keekorok's atmosphere, guests have the option to dine al fresco on the veranda, on the Elephant Deck overlooking the rolling savannah or in the wilderness in complete privacy.ClimateThe climate is temperate. There is low humidity year round. The days are warm and the evenings cool.
