The Fairview was acquired by the Szlapak family in 1946. At that time, FairviewHotel had only 40 rooms. Since then, Fairview Hotel has grown to just over 100 rooms. As a result, the hotel offers a wide range of room alternatives. A comfortable hotel that hasn’t decked itself out in feathers of upmarket gloss and tasteless luxury. The hotel’s leafy acres and scattered buildings are laid out, a world away from the overheated bustle.
Mukutan Garden Café The Mukutan Garden Café is without a doubt the best place in Upper Hill for top-notch coffees and light/quick meals such as gourmet sandwiches, pizzas and Quesadillas. The Café overlooks the most beautiful water feature in East Africa
Pwani Pool Restaurant This restaurant, adjoining the Swimming Pool, offers a full range of international cuisine in a casual environment. Its bar is a favourite with residents in the evening.

Pango Brasserie
Recently launched, this Brasserie aims to be Nairobi’s Classiest lunch and dinner venue. What makes this Brasserie different to any other eating venue in Nairobi is that it comes complete with its own underground Wine Bar! The Wine Bar is exclusively for diners in Pango.
Conferencing Recently, the Fairview invested in five-star conferencing facilities equipped with the latest conferencing necessities. All rooms have both a wired high speed internet connection as well as wi-fi access. Moreover, the hotel just installed a wireless voice network. This means that our Conferencing Coordinator is just an internal call away so when you need help, we will be there in a few seconds! Also, our LCD projectors are connected to a UPS to ensure conference delegates are not interrupted during a power cut (prior to the generator kicking in).
Conference RoomsKijiji - (Swahili for "The Village")
The room is equipped with all the latest conferencing necessities including a laptop/video projecter, flip charts, speakers, air conditioner etc. We have also invested in special equipment to hang flip chart papers on the walls as well as various white boards that hang on the wall.
The room can accommodate up to 60 people depending on the chair layout. Alternatively, the room can be divided into two rooms and can accommodate 20 people in Kijiji A and 40 people in Kijiji B.
The conference room has its own cloakrooms but the most attractive element of Kijiji is not inside the conference room but outside - the conferencing facility overlooks its own private garden
During the coffee break, all conferencing participants enjoy fresh air on the verandah overlooking the garden!!
BUSINESS CENTREThe Fairview Business Centre, remodelled in 2007, offers an outstanding environment or conferencing guests as well as those guests without laptops. The PCs all have the latest Operating Systems and enjoy 3 MB of bandwidth! For those without wifi cards, you can plug your laptop in at the Business Centre. Our photocopying machine and printer can handle serious volume.
First Class Lounge
Guests in Fairview Hotel First Class rooms enjoy complimentary access to the lounge. The lounge is located above the breakfast area and is open between 6:30 a.m and 11:00 p.m. In the Lounge one can enjoy complimentary access to 2 PCs, a range of papers and magazines, coffee and tea all day long and various other benefits!
Internet access in the rooms Fairview Hotel has 2 options for guests requiring internet access in the rooms. The first is wireless access (Wi-Fi). 90% of our rooms enjoy Wi-Fi access so please check with Reception to determine whether wi-fi is available in your room. If you don't have a Wi-Fi card, we will happily sell and install one for you. The second option is a wired internet connection - unfortunately, only 6 rooms have this option so please request it on check-in and we will do our best to oblige.
Swimming pool Another fairly recent addition to The Fairview is the beautiful swimming pool. Situated near the gym, the pool is for residents only and is open from 7.00 am to 6.30pm daily.
Gym The Bridge to Fitness has a wonderful view of the pool area and contains the latest equipment by LifeFitness: 2 treadmills, a recumbent exercise bike, a cross trainer, a rowing machine, basic weights, leg press calf extention, a Multi-Gym and a few other of the basics. The gym is only open to hotel and Apartment residents.
