Introduction

Nairobi and Kenya at large has well developed conference facilities. Some of our conference facilities can hold up to 6,000 delegates. Nappet Africa will assist you with all your conference arrangements ranging from Conference room/venue, transportation and accommodation for the delegates.
Conference facilities in Kenya range from Nairobi based conferences, Bush conferences (Tsavo National Park, Samburu Game Reserve, Amboseli National Park and Maasai Mara Game Reserve)  Beach Conferences (Mombasa & Malindi) and Resort Conferences (Naivasha).
Nappet Africa will also assist you with your pre and post conference tours.    

Conference Facilities in Kenya
1. Kenyatta International Conference Centre
It is located right within the Central Business District and can accommodate upto 4,000 delegates. It has a huge parking capacity of up to 2,000 cars. It is surrounded by major hotels i.e. Hilton Hotel, Stanley Hotel and Intercontinental Hotel which are only 5 minutes walking distance away. KICC has well-equipped conference and meeting rooms with largest capacity of over 4,000 delegates, Simultaneous Interpretation Equipment with capability of up to seven languages, modern business centre, computerized delegate registration centre, WI-FI connectivity and a banking facility.
2. The Division of Conference Services (DCS) – UN Gigiri Complex
This is a state-of-the-art conference and meeting facilities in the green and pleasant surroundings of the UN Gigiri complex, a 140-acre forest-fringed compound 13 kilometres from central Nairobi. With 14 conference rooms of international standard, supported by dedicated UN personnel, sophisticated equipment and other facilities. The Division can handle up to 6,000 delegates.
3. Kilaguni Serena Lodge – Tsavo National Park (Conferencing in the bush)
Has Chyulu Conference Suit which can accommodate up to 103 people theatre style.  Facilities include a full selection of overhead, slide projector, screen, TV-video and video conference equipment, state of the art audio visual equipment, PA system/podium, wireless internet access in room and conference rooms.
4. Naivasha Simba Lodge
The lodge has 5 conference rooms with the largest having a capacity of 200 persons. Has good location for out of Nairobi conferences, beautifully kept lawns, facing Lake Naivasha and only one and a half hours drive from Nairobi. It hosted the Sudanese Peace Agreement that was attended by 15 heads of states and dignitaries such as Tabo Mbeki, Kofi Annan, Collin Powell and US senators, among them.
5. Great Rift Valley Lodge
It is an hour and a half away from Nairobi, Kenya’s capital. It has three conference rooms set in beautiful grounds overlooking the Aberdares and Longonot.  The rooms can sit 150, 80 or 50 people away from any distractions save for the resident birds and the views.  The conference rooms are fitted with all the conferencing amenities including audio-visual materials.

Upcoming Conferences & Events
1. AITEC Banking & Mobile Money COMESA 2010 (24th to 25th February, 2010)
Theme: Innovating to Survive and Thrive in Hard Times.
It will be a 2 days conference to be held at KICC (Kenyatta International Conference Centre) and will provide a valuable educational forum for the financial services sector, updating CXOs and IS Managers on latest International developments in payment technologies best practices in IT project deployment.
2. The Eastern Africa Renewable Energy Summit 2010 (6th to 7th April, 2010)
Theme: Making Renewable Energy Markets for Eastern Africa – to be held at LAICO Regency Nairobi.
The Summit reflects the growing International profile of Eastern Africa in renewable energy and the summit’s vital contribution to the sector. Eastern Africa has vast renewable and non-renewable energy resources that largely go unexploited. The summit will be looking at this in terms of: Renewable Energy for Rural and Urban Development, Renewable Energy Technology Transfer and Development i.e. Biomass and biofuels technologies in Eastern Africa, Solar Energy and Wind, Hydro Power Development and Geothermal, Cogeneration etc
3. Lighting Africa 2010 (18th to 20th May 2010)
It is the Second Global Business Conference & Trade Fair for Off-Grid Lighting in Africa—will be held at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.  Lighting Africa  is a World Bank Group (WBG) initiative which supports the private sector to develop, accelerate, and sustain the market for modern off-grid lighting technologies tailored to the needs of African consumers.
4. Broadcast & Film Africa 2010 (19th to 20th May 2010)
This conference which will be held at KICC will bring together senior broadcast executives, producers, advertising agency executives, regulators and policy-makers to discuss the challenges faced by the industry over the next five years.
5. Green Business Africa Summit & Expo (2nd to 4th June 2010)
The Green Business Africa Summit & Expo is Africa’s first flagship event that brings to the mainstream issues around sustainability in the business environment as well as green corporate social responsibility (CSR).
