3 Days Nakuru

DAY 1 – L. NAKURU LODGE

You will be picked from your residence/ hotel and drive to Nakuru with a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley. The Great Rift divides Kenya neatly down the length of the country essentially separating east from west. Afterwards, proceed to Lake Nakuru Lodge. L. Nakuru is famous for its flamingos and not forgetting other wildlife like Black and White Rhino, Leopards, Rothschild’s Giraffe and many more. You will have your meal and overnight at L. Nakuru Lodge

DAY 2 – NAKURU - L. BOGORIA

You will be woken up at 6.00am for an early morning game viewing drive. This is usually the best time to view game as both diurnal ad nocturnal animals are actively feeding. You will return to the lodge for breakfast after which. You will pack your luggage and bid L. Nakuru Kwaheri and drive to L. Bogoria National Reserve. This was formerly L. Hannington, named after Bishop Hannington who was the first to put it in record and described it as the “jewel of the Great Rift Valley and the most beautiful view in Africa”. You will arrive at the lodge for lunch and check-in. Later drive to the lake and take a walk along its shores. L. Bogoria is known for its hot springs and geysers on the southern shores of the lake. The sulphur waters are known to have therapeutic values hence are natural spas and steam bath/sauna. The hot water is known to boil eggs. This is also the home of the greater kudu and a host of other savannah wildlife. Predators include leopard, cheetah, and hyenas, amongst others. It is also rich in bird life, especially the flamingos. The rest of the day will be at leisure or enjoy a swim into the only naturally heated swimming pool in Kenya. Dinner, entertainment and overnight at L. Bogoria Lodge

DAY 3 – L. BOGORIA - NAIROBI

It’s always sad to let go and to say good-bye. This day after your breakfast you will bid L. Bogoria and its wonderful shores and birds “Kwaheri” and leave for Nairobi via the Great Rift Valley View Point   carrying with you the memories of the Great Rift Valley.
