3 Days Amboseli

Day 1 – Nairobi – Amboseli

Pick up from your residence or hotels and drive to Amboseli National Park through the Athi-Kapiti plains. You will have a game drive en-route to the lodge, being able to see nature as it was meant to be seen, in all its breathtaking glory. This is Kenya's biosphere reserve and in the Maasai language Amboseli means 'a place of salty dust' from the usually dry lakebed, which forms much of the park. With the super backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest point, large herds of elephant, wildebeest, zebra and Thomson's gazelle are major attractions. Among the marshes, Pelicans, Kingfishers and waterfowl abound. Here, too, the elephants will come to feed and drink, often accompanied by white egrets. Amboseli is truly magnificent with the surrounding Maasai homestead, where the nomadic people still cling to a traditional lifestyle, is always a highlight. We arrive at the Lodge for lunch. This Amboseli is located on the slopes of the highest Mountain in Africa Mt.Kilimanjaro, watching the sunset against the background of the mountain better viewed from the Kenyan side is a panoramic view that you will never forget. After a sumptuous lunch the early afternoon will be spent at leisure, to be followed by a late afternoon game drive. Dinner, entertainment and overnight will be at the lodge.

Day 2 Amboseli National Park

Take a morning game viewing drive through the park, where you will drive into the interior of the park in search of the game not seen the previous day. This is usually the best time for the drives before the heat of the day that drives the animals under cover of trees and shrubs. Breakfast and Lunch at the lodge. The early afternoon will be spent at leisure which will be followed by an optional Maasai Village visit. This will enlighten you more on the culture of the Maasai people to be followed with by the evening game viewing drive in search for the animals not seen so far. You will then return to the lodge at 6.30pm for dinner, entertainment and overnight.

Day 3 Nairobi

This day you will drive back to Nairobi past the boarder town Namanga where we will have a brief stop to do the last minute shopping. After we proceed to Nairobi where you will be dropped at your residence/ Hotel/ Airport
